Ujjawal Madan

Hi! I'm Ujjawal Madan, and I'm now enrolled in Georgia Tech's MS in Analytics program on campus. As the title says, I come from an unusual background. My two main interests as a student were math and music, which isn't an uncommon combination. I chose to completely devote myself to becoming a professional musician, primarily an orchestral player, after getting admitted to Juillard for my undergraduate studies. During an internship in arts administration, though, I spent a lot of time with the Analytics team, working on trends, modeling, and forecasting. I found myself organically migrating towards data science after being enamored with the capabilities and promise of analytics, as well as its expanding importance across many sectors. My current goals are to broaden my data science skillset and toolkit, explore chances to use what I've learned, and discover new approaches to solving high-impact challenges.
